Visiting with sisters and Summer heat

Today was what has become a typical Tuesday. R works late every Tuesday so I leave work at 5:00 and head straight to pick up Edee. Because R isn't home I don't feel like I'm missing out on the few hours we have together so I try to make sure and visit my sisters on Tuesdays. 

Our visit was very nice. I love that I can relax and just listen for awhile or get all loud over things I'm passionate about and she doesn't judge me. My sister gets me. Well, atleast I feel like she does.

Catching up is always mixed with interrupting children who need a snack, a drink or another snack. But, I think we've mastered pausing our conversations and picking back up after the kids eat and run off to play.

It was a whopping 88 degrees today. It's humid and sticky and full blown summer in Grand Haven. I love and hate it at the same time. I love that it's not winter. I hate that I sweat. But, oh how I love that I can feel my feet 24/7. I love not freezing. 

The heat didn't stop the kids from jumping on the trampoline, climbing up and down the tall ladder to the tree house or running until it was time to say good bye. E's cheeks were rosy pink and her hair curled up all over. Atleast she's cute when she's got and sweaty. 

Now that we're home for the night we are relaxing in the living room under the fan. Thank the Lord for ceiling fans. I can enjoy the heat as long as I have a breeze.
