Spring, friends, mini-vacation!

There is snow on the ground but HAPPY SPRING! How does that work really? Do you feel better to think that today is the first day of spring because that means the weather WILL get warmer? Or does it make you sad that there is snow in ugly heaping piles everywhere and its supposed to be spring?

Well, it's Spring. It's finally here. I assume soon enough we will be smelling the Spring breeze and seeing spring blossoms. There for, I feel better knowing it is Spring. Eventually the Earth will catch up with the calendar.

Plus, there are so many other things to be grateful and happy about. The most recent happiness: I am going out of town; out of the state in fact. We're having a girls weekend. I was invited by a co-worker/ friend. Or better yet, friend/co-worker. I'd like to consider the ladies I spend 5 days a week with friends. They are definitely great listeners and great people. I'll call them friends.

I am thrilled to be invited on a little weekend get away. I am looking forward to staying in a hotel, not cleaning or worrying about...anything. Well, except what FUN thing we should do next!

This will be my very first time taking both of the girls on a little road trip. R is having a guys weekend. E hasn't stayed away from home since she was 2 months old (Thanksgiving in Pentwater). So this shall be interesting. I think she will love it. Who doesn't love water parks, arcades, big hotel beds and...all the fun stuff that comes along with a VACATION!

I'll be sure to take lots of photos and share with you our little excursion. I can't wait to hop in the car and GO!

My holiday

I hope all of your holiday celebrations were wonderfully blessed. What was your favorite part about your holiday this year? The best part for me was spending it with my girls and my husband. I missed seeing some of the people I love but I know there will be more time together soon. I can only look to the future, to Christmases yet to come to make up for the lost time.

Sisters watching the snow fall.

I couldn't help but share (again) my favorite photo from our holidays. This photo captures a great memory for me. Sisters in their pjs, winter wonderland and all the snow that fell in one day, innocence, and the age difference in the girls that doesn't really bother either one of them. I love seeing E with her big sis and M with her lil' sis. They adore each other. I am so thankful they share such a togetherness and have formed an unbreakable bond.

I'm looking forward to the new year now. Much has happened in 2013 and you can count on a year in review post very soon!

Happy Holidays!

Keep loving.

Late Night means little to write.

Once again this week I knew I'd great Thursday with a smile. I have found I am settled in to and enjoying my routine of 3 days at my day job and 3 nights at my night job. (Not to say 1 day off a week is glorious by any means) By Wednesday I am ready for a change of pace. I need a morning with my lil girl, I'm ready to see Maddi and ready to tackle serving tables again.

Today, the girls and I spent some the afternoon at my sister's place. Thursdays mean; morning cartoons, an extra cup of coffee (because I have time for it), and no obligations until 3:40 (when I take Maddi home.) Sitting back and watch the kids play, as much as we could, was nice. The clouds hovering over Grand Haven didn't spark much inspiration today. So we sat and talked and even caught a few cooking shows on TV. Crazy right?! Thanks for sitting and hanging out with today Trina. AND thank you for the up do. My hair stayed styled all night and might have even made an impact on my customer service too (at least, I'd like to think so).

It shall be a busy weekend in the Miller home again. We pick up Maddi tomorrow and have her until Labor Day! We are very happy to have her another week in a row but will be sad to see her go at the end of the week as this is our last week of Summer with her. We will soon enough great Wednesdays and every other weekend with a smile. With that said, I MUST plan some fun stuff for our last week with her. Suggestions are welcome followers.

A busy, late night at work has me struggling to write more. I look forward to Five Photo Friday tomorrow. Meet you back here then.

Keep Loving.
