Disc Golf Babes

I wanted to add this to my list of playground adventures but there was no playground. I doubt the girls noticed because they still had fun and it was still an adventure.

Over the last year R has really gotten into disc golfing. It's something he does with my younger brother. He started collecting discs last Spring and then for Christmas a disc golf bag was waiting under the tree. They go every chance they get. Even if it means playing half the course as the sun sets. It's definitely disc golf season again. I love that he has a hobby and that it is something he does with my brother.

Last weekend R decided he was going discin' and I knew my sister and her little one were going too. All of a sudden I wondered why E and I weren't going. So as R made his normal rush through the apartment to jump out of work clothes and into play clothes, as he usually does when he goes discin', I packed a bag and we ran out the door.

The girls were so adorable to watch and photograph. We saw a frog, flowers and E kept running from a bear (that wasn't really there).

They tried their best to through discs and we cheered for them.

The Lakeshore Disc Golf course is nice. I loved the little bridges! (They kept our feet dry!)

TGFS - Thank God For Snacks! Toddlers can't go anywhere without them.

There was a lot to see out in the woods.

E loved the trails and walked until she couldn't walk anymore.

My favorite photo of the day. I wonder what they were talking about...

E liked sitting on the benches to take a break.

Minus a wet diaper blow out and a couple tears it was definitely a day well spent.

Keep Loving.

10 whole days and nights.

It has been busy, busy, busy in the Miller house this passed weekend. I look back on the weekend and wonder ‘where did the time go?’ Once again, the time slipped right by us. I’m happy I can say, we spent our time doing fun things with the girls. It is spring break after all.

She makes a mustache look cute!

M is staying with us for 10 days! Yes, 10 whole days and nights. What will we do with all this time together? We are all, including E, thrilled to have her. Games, crafts, sports, playgrounds here we come!

R started the weekend with some Daddy daughter time and treated M to a Morning Star Café breakfast and Sky Zone (a trampoline fun house)! They were so tired from all the exercise they were rather quiet Friday night. Which made it a perfect night for a good movie. Frozen took over our television screen and we all relaxed.

Saturday, was my treat day. We went shopping for a couple new work outfits and took our time wandering in and out of stores in the Mall. I found some great deals and I am happy with the couple things I bought. R bought new discs for disc golf and E is sportin’ some pretty cute outfits as well. I love my new teal skinny jeans and gray slacks. Comfy yet dressy!

We treated ourselves to the new frozen yogurt shop, Wild Blue! It was exciting! First you pick your frozen yogurt flavor and then you top it with fruit, nuts, candies or whatever you fancy. Surprisingly, E wasn't crazy about the stuff. But, the rest of us enjoyed our little yogurt creations.

My sister is watching the girls this week. I wish I could be at home enjoying Spring Break with them. I created a menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks as well as a list of fun challenges for M. She was happy to present me with an almost completed list when I got home. So I gave her more this morning. I think this will be the trick to keeping her focused on positive things rather than being homesick.

M and I have also started a giant poster, covered with green things for Michigan State. M hopped right in and got the hang of puzzle piecing different shapes together. We are excited to see the end result. I spent many hours in Art Class my senior year clipping magazines and creating collage masterpieces. This activity brings back memories.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the week will bring!

Keep Loving.
