Only in my dreams

I drive over the bridge coming into town. Same thing I do every day of the week. Except this time my knuckles are white and my neck muscle are tense from the death grip I've had on my steering wheel. The street lights at the intersection sway to a 45 degree angle. This wind is crazy. Is this really Spring? In Michigan it is. But, it feels more like Winter.

I should really stop complaining because the snow is, in fact, GONE. The gray, overcast sky and rainy day after rainy day have me digging into my yarn bag. I am once again inspired to crochet. All over again I cant get enough of the colors, patterns, endless options and a fun collaborative project my sister and I started. If only there were more hours of free time...only in my dreams.

Family life has my hands full of everything but my blue crochet needle. Which, is equally great. E has been a major cuddle bug. Mondays and my daughter do not work well together. She had me pinned to the couch most of yesterday evening. I wasn't going anywhere. For the record, I am 100% okay with this.

R and I managed to squeeze in a surprise date night on Friday. First Snug Harbor visit of the season. However, we opted out of sitting on the deck, darn "Spring" weather. Company and food were just as great inside the restaurant! It was a nice change of pace after the weekly grind.

We've been spending a lot time with my younger sister who recently moved to town with her boyfriend and their little one. Sunday our place was full of chitter-chatter for the first official cook out of the season. Grilled brats, veggie-kabobs and corn on the cob. All delicious. I am excited to have a crafting mommy living near by, hence the crochet project.

I can't wait til it officially looks and feels like Spring. Until then, family time and crocheting are enough for me.

Keep Loving.

Cuddles and Catch Phrase

I almost set my "Wacky Wednesday" header for tonights writing and then I realized today wasn't wacky at all. Today was smooth sailing all day.

E and I spent the day snuggling and cuddling just a little extra as tomorrow and Friday I will be away from her for 9+ hours. To my surprise she was exceptionally cuddly today too. Even Daddy was surprised to catch a few cuddles from both E and M today.

M has been showing affection much more lately, which makes me feel loved and accepted by her. All though I do know she has accepted me for a long time now it is nice to feel it when we haven't seen her for  a week. She walked up to me and hugged me around my waist and said, "I feel like I haven't hugged you in a while." I love her to pieces!

We recently introduced M to the game Catch Phrase. So the rest of our time with her today was spent waving our arms back and forth as we struggled to describe a word/phrase. All of us really get into the game. I think M really likes this new game and is really catching on.

I am looking forward to more M & E (And R) time this weekend!

Keep Loving.

Down right good relaxing time.

Edee and I have spent the entire day together. A long week has made it 100% necessary to get in extra zzz's in the A.M., more cuddles than usual and some down right good relaxing time. This momma needed it after a full week of work. Time away makes our time together just a little bit more special.

What a busy work week it has been. I can't complain because pay day has made it well worth it, but I've missed my baby and my hubby a lot.

Instead of wasting precious minutes cleaning our bedroom, crafting or anything else, I have been down on all 4's right next to E. We've been playing with her favorite pink ball, working on our dance moves and making a mess of the dvd shelf.

E has been great today. I had to do my usual Friday banking which involves driving out to get my check from work and then scootin' to the other side of town to cash it. In the rear view mirror I watched Edee's little fit wiggling around the whole time. Evidently, I brought the perfect toys along for the ride; glow worm, iphone case, and star shaped teether. Go Mom!

A happy baby makes for a happy Mommy. Her afternoon nap allowed me to delve into my current tv show fave. She woke up with smiles and has been roaming around just content as can be. I look at her and want to scoop her into my arms and squeeze her. I can't get enough of my little girl.

We treated Dad to lunch today. Then, ran downtown with our friends Sarah and Jackson to an adorable shop to check out some Robeez. Aberdeen's is like the Mommy/shopaholic heaven. They have everything! My favorite part is the items from local vendors; burp clothes, hair bows and head bands, hats and blankets. Each from a different vendor. Sarah's MIL bought Jackson the cutest Robeez. He is set to go for a year or so! She also treated Edee to the most adorable soft slipper/shoes. They are totally girly with pink lace and flowers. Irresistibly cute! What a treat! I totally didn't expect to leave the store with something new for her. Thanks again Bonnie!

Tonight we are headed to do dinner with the Stevens\Evans friends! So glad! We have been trying to squeeze in a get together for a little while now. I'm looking forward to seeing the littles together, dinner and in depth conversations!

Happy Friday everyone!

Keep loving.
