The fog has cleared. No, I'm not talking about the weather. All though, I could be as the sun is showing it's pretty little face and the snow is glistening. I am actually referring to my head. I can finally breathe and do not feel like my head has been jammed into a balloon. Honestly, people around me have been sounding a lot like the adult voices on Charlie Brown. A stuffy, runny, soar nose is something I am not fond of. But, it is finally over. The fog has cleared.
Coming out of a head cold makes me feel invincible. Not that I am going to try to fly or run a marathon but, for the first time in a couple days I feel up to writing, reading, crocheting and doing a little freelance for friends. I literally did not pick up a pen, book or crochet needle for 2 days. Going to work and taking care of a busy little E were more than enough for me.
Speaking of her, I have to say a big THANK YOU to R for taking care of E and picking up where I couldn't. You are so wonderful. I say I appreciate what you do and I do but when you step in doing everything when I can not is when I look at my wedding ring, nod my head and say, Yup! I've got the greatest husband. I chose well. Thank you. I love you.
So, here's to picking up where I left off. I am thankful for being healthier today than I was yesterday. Stay tuned for my Friday Feature and a few additions to the blog design.
Keep Loving.

Frigid weather, hot soup and me time.
Guess what we did yesterday!? R and I put on 5 layers of clothes and went out in this frigid weather. Do you know it is warmer in Alaska than it is in Michigan! Nothing about that statement is okay. But, we chose to live in Michigan so we are going to make the best of it. So believe it or not, this mama went out in the cold to witness a snopong tournament. Crazy, right?
It was so much fun! I honestly felt like an eskimo standing around in my fluffy winter gear. Catching up with friends and having a few hours of kid free time was definitely needed. Luckily this big event had propane heaters and a fire place. With all the commotion and people it was easy to forget about the cold nipping at my nose and cheeks.
After spending a couple hours outside the idea we had that morning to make ham, potato and bean soup seemed even more brilliant. R threw a bunch of ingredients into the crock pot to simmer all day. It was perfectly delicious when we returned home. Hot soup during a blizzard. Mmm mmm.
Because we had time to ourselves yesterday R decided to do a little Daddy daughter bonding with M. They are currently building a snow fort complete with tunnels! I am not at all surprised that he wants to spend another couple hours out in the cold. He loves his winter gear and it must really be holding in the heat.
We've also found the perfect compromise. He is spending the first part of the day doing something he wants to do and therefor I get the second half of the day to enjoy myself; not that playing with E, writing and designing aren't enjoyable. I am just looking forward to a little bit of stress-free me time. I'm going to get my nails done and do a little shopping. I've been wanting to get my nails done for a couple weeks now. I think it will look very nice for work. I can't wait!
Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Keep Loving.
