The Tree is Up.

It's Saturday afternoon. E and I are relaxing and enjoying a couple snacks and flicks. I think it's a pretty good way to spend an afternoon. I might have to pull out a couple baby friendly holiday crafts now that the tree is up. Yes, we got our tree. We have yet to decorate it but it is in fact in the house! The way I see it: Thanksgiving is behind us, we have snow and Christmas will be here before we know it. Why not turn on the Christmas tunes and get with the cheer?

I spent the first part of the day at the Holiday Market downtown. I enjoyed sitting with my sister while shoppers walked through checking out all the locally made, hand crafted items. I received great responses from most lookers. And a couple friends I haven't seen in awhile stop by to chat and give their support. I am very appreciative of their support and kindness. I am glad I am not hurrying to crochet, crochet, crochet but I might have to put some of my items for sale online. (I'll keep you posted.)

When I got home R had picked out and set up a BIG green pine tree in the living room. I can't wait to decorate it tomorrow! Hopefully after getting ready for the work week, grocery shopping and laundry there will be enough time to put up Christmas decorations.

Well, I'm going to do some holiday crafts with E! She's currently digging in a basket of non-friendly baby toys.

Have a good evening all.

Keep Loving.

There’s nothing like writers block. I must apologize to my ever so interested and consistent viewers for my lack of writing. I've been tossing around several ideas for new entries and have come up short. Also, The Millers have been busy bees as family is in town for the week. But, I am making all efforts to keep everyone updated this weekend!

Driving to work felt wonderful this morning. First off, I was early. I dropped E off @ 7:50, R off @ 8:00 and was heading towards my destination (work) @ 8:05. How that happened? I am not quite sure. I've been cutting it close lately; two minutes too close so I moved quicker this morning. Secondly, as I was driving over the big bridge out of town I look over and the sunrise is absolutely beautiful. The sun was tucked behind the clouds just enough to wear I wasn't blinded by it but the light was blazing around the clouds creating purples, pinks, bright yellows and oranges in the horizon. Amazing!

Or maybe it felt wonderful because all though it is Wednesday it is my Friday. With the holiday tomorrow, I have a four day weekend. (Another perk of my office job.) And all though E woke up @ 2:00 AM and again at 5:00 AM to stay awake and play for an hour, I am wide awake. Waking up definitely took a bit more effort than usual. I had to pry open my eyelids and shove myself out of bed but none the less I survived.

I have high hopes for tomorrow. R has been talking about having smoked turkey for two weeks now, which he will be doing himself. I am looking forward to this. Can we eat already? Did you know Thanksgiving 2013 is the first official Miller Family Thanksgiving. Well, the first year we are hosting it anyways. And it is the first year Diane will be joining. I am looking forward to her baking tomorrow. And cranberry relish too. All day with our family (well the ones that can join us) will be a blessing. I will be thinking Maddi, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents that we won’t see.

While patiently waiting the smoked turkey feast I have been crocheting and creating like crazy. I am almost all set for the holiday market on Saturday. Please check out the details here. I am a fan of shopping local. This little market is a perfect place to start!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Keep loving.

A squeal, a hug, a too short day.

Lately, days seem too short. When I first looked at the clock today it was already 1:00 pm and I somehow forgot to eat lunch. Or I didn't want to take the time to leave my desk because I was too excited about the tasks at hand. Is that ridiculous? I enjoy working. Wait...FINALLY! I ENJOY WORKING. It has been way to long since I could wholeheartedly say, I love getting up in the morning and going to work.

And then when 5:00 sneaks up on me I can't wait to hop in my car and drive to pick up E. I look forward to seeing her little face and how suprised she is to finally see me. I either receive the O face or a little squeal before she comes toddling over to climb into my hug.

Then I scoot on over to get R @ 5:30. Everyday it seems like even longer that I haven't heard his voice or hugged him too. I look forward to our exchange of, "How was work?" Working in the same field has definitely changed our conversations, which R was excited about. We are on the same page even more so than before. It's nice.

Evenings zoom by as well. Dinner, dishes, bath time, play time (which I am trying to incorporate something new into every evening), bed time and then finally time to relax. At this point I have a hard time keeping my eyes open. Sadly, I fall asleep before the movie introduction even ends.

The past week I have been preparing for a holiday market that is at the end of the month. There for I can't wait to get home and crochet. I am still brainstorming a creative set up and display for my handmade things. However, I finally decided on a design for tags! I printed them in a bright lime green color. I'll be posting photos soon! (I can't ruin the surprise before the market.) More details to come on that as well!

So, that's my here and now, especially because our days are so here and now. It really pushes us to take care of the important things right away and make time for the important people and things too.

Keep loving.
