Love sick school girl

Dear Ryan,

You know we missed you a lot while you were away this weekend. But here is what you missed:

On Friday, the girls and I took back roads home from the drop off spot, with Maddi's perfect directions and reassuring questions, "Do you know where we are yet?" we found our way just fine. I didn't mind that she sang to Taylor Swift all the way back. Its probably not a surprise that she knows every word of every song on the Red Album. I love listening to Maddi's 8 year old voice singing along to the perfect idol.

That night the apartment was rather quiet. Of course I indulged in my cheesy Netflix drama and crocheted too. Then instead of wandering around the house like a lost puppy I called it a night early, triple checked the locks on the doors and went to bed. (PS. Your t-shirt turned pillow case didn't help like I thought it would.)

Edee has been lil miss fussy pants the passed 48 hours. She was evening whining while playing. Maybe its her teeth. Or maybe she missed you too.

Maddi has been on her best behavior; doing things when asked the very first time.

I didn't stop thinking about you the whole 2 days you were gone. I felt like a love sick school girl. I realize more so this weekend, while you were away, than ever before I never want to be without you in my life. I can barely stand the thought.

Saturday, we spent most of the evening at Trina's. The girls played on the swing set in the shade. Thank God for big tress because the 85 degrees was scorching hot. The shade was perfect. Trina and I sat enjoying the breeze while the kids jumped, climbed, ran and did what kids do best. I'm really glad Maddi's cousins live right down the road.

I learned something new this weekend. Your oldest taught me that the little flaps on the seats in carts at the grocery store click and stay down. I never could figure out how to hold that little blue flap down while holding Edee and trying to guide her feet into the foot holes at the same time. Smart girl she is!

And Sunday, I anticipated your homecoming so much that I had a hard time visiting and keeping up with conversation. I could barely eat breakfast I was so excited.

i know you had a great time and you definitely deserve your time away but I'm so glad you are home.

All my love,
Karlee

PS. Babe, we missed you!
