Elmo, Fishy, THE Beer, Inspired, Mommy sale.

5 highlights from this week:

1. E's new favorite words: Car & Elmo.
She says the word 'car' with a dinosaur rawr ending. It's adorable in her little voice. I just can't get enough.
As of yesterday she can pronounce every letter of the word 'Elmo.' Which got me thinking: maybe that's why he is named Elmo. So toddlers can pronounce his name. Either way I have E repeat these words as often as possible. I love how much she is talking lately.

2. I walked in to pick up E from daycare on Wednesday afternoon to find T and her son, as well as E laying on there tummies staring into a little fish bowl that was sitting on the floor. This sight warmed my heart that they found such happiness in a fish. Just a little brownish, gray fish swimming around.
As soon as T picked up the fish bowl E burst into tears. A full on cry. Her little heart broke (and so did mine) when she couldn't see the fishy anymore. So we walked over and told him good bye, see you tomorrow. The waterworks shut off immediately. Oh the simple things in life.

3. R tasted THE beer. By THE beer I mean the one that is in HOT PURSUIT or was... It sells out within hours, minutes even and if you aren't on the list at convenience stores you don't stand a chance of purchasing it in a bottle. Maybe next year when Founder's finally completes another batch of KBS. However, we were lucky enough to get it on tap downtown Friday night. R enjoyed it while he could as we were surprised it wasn't tapped out by the time we arrived.

4. Work has been inspiring! Or I've been inspired about work. I missed Monday due to E's diaper rash extravaganza but the rest of the week has gone well. I watch webinars (web seminars) here and there on social media, social marketing, etc. and they are very inspirational. Half way through the seminar I always feel a rush of energy and inspiration floods my brain. I have to start jotting down extra notes in the side columns of my notebooks. I love the feeling. Especially when I am already so passionate about the power of social media and online marketing.

5. I am attending my first Mom-2-Mom this morning. Yes, I said first. I have always wanted to go and our weekends are usually rather packed with chores and other to-dos. But, E is growing out of 18 month clothes (May I remind you, she turns 18 months old on the 2nd.) and she really needs shirts and pajamas. Maybe a couple dresses too! So I am hoping to find some great deals on gently warn clothing.

I hope life is going well for all of you out there! Please comment and share one highlight from your week. I'd love to hear from you.

Keep Loving.

Tub-side writing.

Sunday evening writings:

I'm pretty sure E was a fish in another life. This girl loves loves loves water! Except for her VERY first baths, which we all know were just naked baby sprawled out on a towel, she has loved water. And now she could sit and splash and swim for...as long as mommy allows it.

I'm actually tub-side as I blog this evening, which is an attempt to multi-task and be patient while E soaks in oatmeal and warm water. My little babe has a pretty red bottom. The diaper rash appeared all of a suddden and so far baking soda, ointments nor powders have not touched it. I think at this point it is upsetting me more than her. So, I'm trying an oatmeal bath as recommended from many Moms online.

I sure hope it works! I'm pretty sure she is getting more teeth and the rash is a result of this.

Monday:

On the bright side E's diaper rash has improved!! The redness has almost disappeared. Whether it was the oatmeal bath, Burt's Bees Baby Bees Multi Purpose ointment or several diaper changes through the night we have a healing baby bottom. Hip hip hooray! Isn't it amazing how something like a diaper rash can consume half my blog entry and all of my focus for the weekend?! Maybe it's a natural instinct to cure what isn't 100%?

I also must share that I can check off #1 on my Fall to-do list! (In addition to #8, which I have yet to dedicate an entry too.)

We made our very first visit to Vander Mill's. E loved the big orange pumpkins, the kid size train, swinging and sliding in the playground and playing with a bin of small gourds. R and I loved the fresh apple cider and spiced donuts. My mom spoiled us and sent us home with a couple fresh donuts for later. We decided to wait for Maddi and get pumpkins to carve this weekend. Besides for the bees that were very attracted to the cider Vandermill's is a neat place.

I am looking forward to crossing off a couple more of my Fall to-do list this weekend. I hope you all have a great week and are getting outdoors to enjoy the splendor Fall.

Keep loving.
