Grand Haven horizons are a misty fog. The streets are mucky, wet, slush. We're finally seeing temperatures about the teens. Hence, the icky mush slush all over side streets. I'm sure most of you know the weather conditions. Here's what you may not know:
1. After careful research, planning and a couple sleepless nights on R's part; The Miller's have a new car. A tan-grey Saab. Less milage, new tires, new brakes and it handles well in the snow. All qualities we feel are important in a good car. It's beautiful. We kind of feel spoiled. But we didn't make the decision lightly. It was definitely time for a more reliable car.
2. We went to visit an in-home daycare provider. The meeting couldn't have gone better. We were prepared with questions and she had some as well. We watched E and this ladies two year old son interact and play in the play room. They have a beautiful home. I approve of her schedule, meal plans and her overall character. I approve. I believe we have found the one.
Okay, so it's not a very long list of news. But, for us it's a lot of changes and more importantly improvements. I wish we could've kept the blue Saab. Only because it was my first really good car. I know it is not practical. I, of course, have a sentimental attachment to it.
I'm also very sentimental and emotional about having someone outside the realm of family caring for E during the day. Naturally, her aunts love her and because of that care for her. Trusting someone that doesn't love her yet, but hopefully will eventually, (because lets be honest who wouldn't love a child that you spend 40+ hours with a week) is a little different. Okay, A LOT different. At least, I hope the new lady will grow to love her. I know I would. And so far this looks and feels like a good change.
It's been a rather long day. I'm looking forward to a weekend at home.
Keep Loving.
