That care-free feeling.

It's Monday. Again. Yippidy-do-da-day!
No actually I don't mind at all. Especially because its my day off! Other than a few obligations (getting blood drawn and packing boxing) the whole day is mine.
The sun was shining all weekend and Grand Haven is starting to warm up. You can tell that care-free feeling is in the air. To bad the weekend flew by.

It was however, a very enjoyable weekend. Having Friday off from work was wonderful. Ryan picked up Maddi @ 6:00 and we took her to see The Lorax in theatres. Cute movie! Dr. Suess was definitely a creative man! Maddi ate an entire bucket of popcorn and sat still through the whole show. :O It's not everyday we go to see a movie all 3 of us. So it was a nice little treat.

I have to mention how well behaved she was the entire weekend. She listened well and wasn't to bounce-off-the-wall crazy. Ryan and Maddi spent some time with Jordyn, Saddi (new cousins) and Brett, while I went to cover a shift at work for a couple hours.

On Sunday, we decided that because Maddi was such a good girl we would surprise her with something fun. We took her to Your Plate or Mine, a ceramic painting studio/ store in the mall. She was really happy. Or maybe I was! We absolutely love painting; one thing we don't do enough.

Maddi and I both chose plates to paint. And Ryan got super creative, like he does when we craft, and chose a gecko figurine. I think Maddi likes picking her paint colors the best. Within seconds she had an idea all picked out for her plate.

It took me and Maddi about an hour to paint our masterpieces. It took Ryan another hour on top of that to get the colors and spots just right on his creature.
I can't wait to see how they turn out. I'll be posting photos of the finished results ofcourse. We will get them back in a week.

It feels good to have had such a nice weekend with my family. Times like these make my heart happy and I feel whole.

Hopefully, this means a great week is in store.

Keep loving.
