Wednesday means Family Day

Today did not equal a productive day. Okay, maybe a little. I didn't accomplish what I had planned for the day but still got a few things done. What I'm trying to say is that I wasn't a couch potato all day. (Just part of it.) *wink*

I was hoping to finish my proposal today. I needed to conduct research for it first. Check mark there. So tomorrow I WILL finish the proposal and schedule a meeting with my client.

We also got a bit of grocery shopping in. Finally. Had to return cans and bottles for some of it but naught the necessities. Bread, eggs, etc. Ryan helped plan out a couple cost effective meals for the rest of the week.

Ryan and I fortunately spent a couple hours together and then another couple hours with Maddi. Even though we get her 4 hours every Wednesday, I haven't been able to spend it with her and Ryan in awhile. Work, ofcourse.

This week I am so thankful to have had Wednesday off. It's a stressful day all around. I usually treat it like my Friday and look forward to having the "weekend" off. Two days in a row away from the restaurant is definitely a weekend. And this usually gets me through the day.

But, most of the time I find it hard to ignore that I'm missing out on family time with my two favorite people. Yet another reason to make the best of our time with her.

Today we made cookies! MONSTER cookies. The kinds with oatmeal, peanut butter and candy in them. We added our own little twist and used crunchy peanut butter and heath bar candy pieces. Most of the ingredients I already had in my cupboards. Even though I ran out of oatmeal and tried to add flour, which made them "monster"ous, they turned out rather delicious.

Cookie mixing and baking went over rather well as you can tell but whew! Maddi was rather ansy today. What kid isn't after eating a MONSTER cookie. I think Dad gave her a popsicle too. Now that I think about it she should have been bouncing off the walls. Okay, she pretty much was. Guess, we deserved a crazy kid after that sugary combo.

Maybe I have to take back my original statement. Today equaled an enjoyable family day.

Keep Loving.
