Savings.

On our journey to save money and decrease spending Ryan has come up with some very brilliant ideas and a budget as well. I am so glad he has been putting thought and time into our spendings as money is one of the things we stress about the most.

So our first change and savings came the way of technology. As of last week (and passed couple months) we were paying for internet through charter as well as internet on 2 cell phones with unlimited plans and also paying for service on my tablet. That's about $200.00, yes $200.00 a month on technology to "stay connected." I'm almost embarrassed to admit we spend that much money on a luxury, something we definitely don't need to survive. I think I spend less money on food every month.

Luckily Ryan has been learning a lot at work and has discovered ways to save us a lot of money. We first down graded my cellphone plan to a text and talk only. So I no longer need a fancy phone. Which, is some sacrafice on my part. I feel like my "new" phone is more like a dinosaur than anything. I'm still trying to figure out how to save contacts. If that is the worst of my problems I can consider myself a happy happy person. Then, Ryan placed his phone on a more affordable plan as well. This plan has the option of "hot spot" included, which turns his phone into a modem. Therefor we can cancel Charter and access the internet that way. In total we will save $150.00 a month!!

Amazing right?!

I am also doing small things here and there to help earn money and save. I'm using more coupons and spending very little on unnecessary things. I'm taking advantage of cooking a large meal, where there is leftovers for lunch the next day. Along with that I have my freelance job that will give me extra income for 2 months and I am selling the winter hats I have been making.

Sometimes my knees start to buckle under the heavy weight of debt and bills. And I know Ryan feels the same way. He doesn't say to much about it but I can tell by the look in his eyes our money situation is on his mind. Once I have put it all in perspective, with much help from my hubby, I start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. There is always hope.

Keep loving.
