This week has been fantastic so far. I feel like a brand new person. Gosh, I sound like a complete brag! Yet, I can't help but share my excitement and happiness with you.
Number One (of many) :
Katrina and I traveled to Pentwater on Monday to help my parents move into a cottage/home where they will be staying for the winter. It felt like Christmas. There is something about moving to a new place that is refreshing and good.
The new place has a grassy front yard, patio and fire pit outback, 2 bedrooms, full basement, lots of cupboards in the kitchen (Mom loves this), many windows so the sun can shine in and because the owners rent it every summer it came fully furnished. So my parents can use what they need and also bring what they want from the old house.
My whole family is just so excited for this change. Well, my sister Keisha didn't welcome the thought at the beginning but after 1 night she tells my Mom, "All of my friends want me to go here and there but I just want to stay home." That let my Mom know she's happy here.
I'm so happy for my family. This new place is more inviting, spacious, clean and comfortable. And its so great to hear the happiness in my mom's voice when I call home everyday. All of the excitement has me wishing I could be there.
I've learned a little something because of their new place. I remember that possessions aren't everything. Because my parent's had very little and went without for so long. But I also remember that a little bit can go a long way. Happiness, for example: spreads like ivy grows.
Keep loving. And spreading happiness.
:) I am so glad that you are enjoying yourself, Karlee.
