Oh, the weekend. How enjoyable it is. It seems the weekend is something R and I highly anticipate ever since we are both started working 40 hours a week. 2 whole days to spend all together. 2 whole days to sleep in, lounge around, come and go, whatever we want. This weekend couldn't have come soon enough. Of course, in a flash it's almost gone but we enjoyed it while we could.
We had nothing eventful planned. Some cleaning here and there, a trip to the library and a lot of relaxing. The week felt so long and busy that having nothing planned is exactly what we needed.
Trips to the library are now one of my favorite things to do. I am surprised again and again how well E behaves when we are there. Miraculously she understands quiet right when we walk in the door. This trip we discovered a play area complete with a puppet stand, puzzles and toys. Not to mention the huge selection of books. E was more interested in sitting in every little chair at a round table than reading or playing with toys. So we walked around pulling out, climbing on, hopping off and then pushing in each chair. I think it must have been that the chairs were just her size.
We renewed a few of the books we checked out at our last visit. I realize I have many intentions of reading through out the week and some how I hardly find the time. I believe I just discovered my goal for the week: Read. We also picked out a book for M. She'll be able to read it when she gets here this coming Friday.
Even though we didn't have much planned for the weekend our days off have a routine and schedule of their own. It is more laid back but E wakes up, eats and naps on schedule. I believe we have our in-home daycare provider to thank for this. She has made a significant impact on our schedule and E's personality. Stay tuned this week because I believe I have some major updates to bring you on the in-home daycare topic.
I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend too.
