Today I am really enjoying my office job. Because it has granted me a day off. A day to spend with my family. Not that I don't love being at work, I do. But R has the day off and it would be such a bummer to have to go to the office instead of spending time with him. I am so thankful to be in the place I am in now.
Happy New Year everyone! Does anyone have a new year's resolution? Or do you think it's silly to have one? If you're going to make a change just make it. Right? But, what better time than the first of the year to chose something to dedicate your efforts towards. I am partial to the entire resolution thing. I feel that I am always trying to better myself in one way or another. Having a very motivated husband pushes this processes right along.
Here a few things I have in mind for the 2014.
I want to go on vacation. Somewhere warm, of course.
See more of Michigan. Tahquamenon Falls perhaps.
Sell my handmade items online. Maybe on Facebook or Etsy...
Continue blogging. I can't help but write more.
Take a walk at least 3 times a week. And bring along E and R.
Take more photos. Maybe scrapbook a little.
I think these things are reasonable and a realistic. That's the key after all. I hear talk on the radio and read articles online about the average time it takes to fail a new year's resolution. Why is that a focus to begin with? Set a realistic goal. Maybe set more than one goal to accomplish through out the year. Making a list that you can slowly cross off will give you a sense of accomplishment and worth. Sounds like a good plan to me.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on new year's resolutions. Happy New Year everyone! May 2014 be a year of love, peace and happiness.
Keep loving.
