What a whirl wind this weekend has been…And even though we didn't do much Saturday or Sunday the weekend disappeared before my eyes.
R and I started the weekend off with a bit of competition. We played Battle of the Sexes with another couple and had a great time hootin' and hollerin' at each other about what is an acceptable answer; I am still not sure. I might be a little behind the times with this one but, yes, it was my very first time playing. All though the boys took the victory it was a great game. If you haven't played the game I highly recommend it. There's nothing like a good old game of boys vs. girls.
Saturday we deep cleaned the kitchen. I promise, you didn't miss anything. We did a top to bottom scrub: cupboards, handles, microwave, stove, etc. R was such a sport jumping on the cleaning train. My wonderful husband even got down on his hands and knees to scrub the floors. Amazing! He then moved on to scrub the bathroom. I am very grateful!
I accomplished grocery shopping on Saturday as well. I am very appreciative that Grandma D came over to spend some time with E. I walked through the grocery store with ease. I almost forgot what it was like to take my time not worrying about when a baby will have had enough of aisle and aisle of food.
Today was laundry, laundry, laundry and laundry. R did 4 total loads. How on Earth laundry adds up that quickly is beyond me. But, we won't run out of socks this week! Thank you again R! I am so thankful for all that you do.
So, E is squeezing into her bumbo (one of her best talents), Dad is relaxing in the recliner chair and all though it's only 8:00 p.m. I'm ready to call it a night. It's been a good weekend of nothing in particular and just the same it's been nice.
Keep Loving.
