Working mommy.

This marks one full week as an administrative assistant, one full week as a working mommy. I'm usually so eager to write and find the precise words to express the details of what this new role is like for me. Yet, its 11:00 on Friday night and I'm torn between filling up a new page of my blog or pulling up the covers and welcoming sleep.

I haven't been this happily exhausted since Edee was born. The kind of exhausted that makes you silly and happy at the same time. The kind of tired you never thought you could be. In a crazy way I'm okay with it.

My mind is full of things and possibilites I never thought existed. There's a whole new world inside the office I now call my job. It's exhilarating to be learning again.

And my heart is full too. Of appreciation and thanks and love. R has let me go through this first week without adding any stress to my plate. It has allowed me to focus on the new demands of my new title to the fullest. I can't express how selfless and thoughtful he has been this week. I'm very lucky to have his support.

E ended this long week with a bang a.k.a. head cold. The transition of a complete change of pace and not seeing each other all day definitely took a toll on her. This weekend will be nothing but catching up on cuddle time and some R&R!

I'm already seeing a bit of adjusting though. Her routine has benefitted. Waking up, napping and bedtime are right on que. Other than a bit of attitude and sassy looks I think she's enjoying spending time with Aunt T and Aunt K all week.

Time to rest. Happy Friday friends, family and followers.
