Lucky little girl.

I'm in my comfy spot again. But, it feels a little different this time. This time I sit watching Edee pick up a book, open it, and babble; as if she's reading. My little baby isn't so little anymore. In fact, she's (all of a sudden) a toddler. And my heart couldn't be happier. I'm so in love with my little girl.

Lady Bug

The decision I made to write down a memory every day for the first year of Edee's life seems to be a continuous reward. Looking back on our first days with her amazes me. I know I will miss the baby days soon, as most moms have told me I would, having a journal to reflect on makes the growing up not so tough. Reading the journal will keep every memory alive. 

I'm almost in disbelief that she is one year old already. She is my life size calendar, always reminding me that every second counts, that you can't get back this very moment and to make the best of every situation.

Bathroom Snapshot

Edee's first birthday seemed to come in a flash and disappear just as quickly. Thankfully we have photos and videos to look back on what a fun celebration it was. It's no surprise that Edee amazed us all with her funny facial expressions and playfulness through the party. She wasn't shy to anyone and gave her love and hugs to all of us.

I am greatful that Edee (and her family) are surrounded by so much love. This little girl is lucky and some how I know we are all even luckier to have her in our life.
