I bought a purse. Seems like a totally normal thing right? Wrong! I'm here to tell you why buying a purse for this girl is NOT a normal thing.
1. Im a bag lady.
I have always always always carried a bag. A big fits everything I need. Including; a water bottle, a snack, lotion, change of clothes, shoes, a book or journal, etc. :D A girl can never be too prepared. So it is a very rare occasion for me to buy a purse.
2. Budget.
We are on a tight budget. We are barely paying the bills. We are skimming by as it is. There is no room to purchase things that we can definitely live without. When you stray from a budget you set yourself back however much you spent on that unnecessary object. Thinking about this makes me almost regret my purchase all together....except,
3. I don't buy for me.
No clothes, no shoes, no make up. I don't drink or smoke. I just don't buy for myself. I think I get this from my Mom. She always puts others needs before her own. I feel like I do that in my life as well. I want there to be food in the fridge before anything else. Maybe this day I was feeling safe to spend a little on myself.
Sometimes I feel guilty for buying unnecessary things. I wonder, do I really need this purse? Then I think, how would life be exciting if you didn't spend a little money to have/do something you will enjoy. Isn't that the ultimate goal? To enjoy life.
So, I realize because I put much thought (If you couldn't tell) and consideration into taking the purse to the cashier and pulling out my hard earned money and bringing home cute white purse, that it is okay that I bought it. I will make more money and there will still be food in the fridge.
And every time I put that purse over my shoulder I'll smile.
Keep loving.
