Happy Easter x2!

What a wonderful Easter weekend it turned out to be. No work and all play. Full of family time.

I'm curled up under a blanket, next to Ryan, on the comfy couch (where else would I be?). I'm repeatedly yawning even though it is only 7:30 in the evening. The weekend adventures have worn me out. But, seeing my parents, grandparents, having quality conversations with my aunts and getting to know Maddi all over again has been well worth it.

On Saturday we hopped in the car and traveled to Pentwater. We had breakfast at The Cottage Garden; homemade asparagus quiche for me, eggs ranchero for Ryan and a pumpkin pancake for Maddi. Once the gang (Trina, Brett, Jordynand Saddi) arrived we went to gather at The Village Green for a giant easter egg hunt. And giant it was. About 300 people swarmed the park to gather what the Easter Bunny left. I'm not sure who had more fun, the adults watching or the kids running helter skelter. We all had so much fun.

After the event we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to hang out for awhile. Everyone was curious about baby names and how I feel. I also got some great advice about giving birth. I really really enjoy hearing my relatives take on the experience they have been through, that I am currently going through. It is helpful.

Today, we spent the day with Maddi's side of the family, which has really become Ryan's side of the family too. I met a few new people and got to catch up with others. They cooked an Easter feast complete with ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, deviled eggs and biscuits. It was delicious. I might have even overeaten a bit. Oh! And pumpkin pie, peach cobbler and pecan pie!

It was a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

I'm glad to be home, relaxing on the couch. But sad to have had to leave all the family and also sad to see Maddi go back to her Mother's house. I'm looking forward to our next weekend together, as she is getting so much better with her manners and habits. I'm also going to do a star chart for her, in hopes she will take some initiative in taking care of herself. (Fingers crossed.)

Well, that's it for now. I hope all of my followers had a beautiful Easter Sunday.

Keep loving.
