Oh lazy days. How I enjoy you so. No worries in the world. No obligations for me. Nope, not today.
*sigh*
Today, was just that too. A lazy day.
I took my time waking up this morning. Even though the sun was peaking through the bedroom shades I ignored my alarm clock once or twice and snuggled deeper under the covers. Once I decided to welcome the new day and put my feet on the floor I ate breakfast and mozied around the new apartment. I managed to unpack 5 more boxes as I put books on shelves, dishes in cupboards and all our bathroom goodies in their new location. The new place is really coming together.
I spent the best part of my day with Trina and Sarah. We popped in to Jumpin' Java (a local coffee shop) for some tasty treats. I enjoyed a strawberry banana peach smoothie while Trina tried out the mocha peanut butter frappe. Sarah had a smoothie too (minus the peach). All 3 of us decided our choices were perfect.
The day felt more like summer than spring. We found the perfect spot at a picnic table in the sun. With our sun glasses perched on our noses we talked about work, boys and the most recent happenings in our lives. It was wonderful. Soaking up the rays and sipping cold fruity beverages. This girl soaked up a few to many rays and now has a nicy rosy tint to her nose and cheeks. Oops! Bring on the aloe!
I was really hoping to start on my corkboard today. I'm still excited I found the perfect frame for it. But...I couldn't resist a nap and some QT with my hubby. There is always tomorrow.
Keep loving.
