In 2019, I began the journey of embracing my sensitivity and recognizing the strength of my emotions and empathy.
I learned that empathy and sensitivity are two things that in fact, aren’t a bad thing, which
goes against my previous beliefs. The world needs caring people who wear their
heart on their sleeve and care deep enough to cry, to laugh, to feel other’s emotions.
The world needs more people who recognize these characteristics are good.
I’ve learned to put up my shield like Wonder Woman because
protecting yourself is just as important as caring for others. I've learned and will continue learning to view things without so much of the emotion that runs through me so strongly.
I’ve ended 2019 in a season of gifts, surrounding by people
who have given me their time, love and appreciation in priceless ways. From cleaning
my kitchen, catching up on my laundry (yes, that’s a thing) to taking care of my girl
while I was sick, my family has given me such support this season.
I’ve also been the lucky recipient of tangible gifts too. Just
one of the gifts I received was from my team at work was an entire yarn kit! I
can't even believe the beauty of this gift. I am so grateful.
I have found in this season I am shaped by gestures like
this. The thoughtfulness of people who take the time to know who I am and what I care about is incredible.
For 2020, I have chosen 'Look Up' for my words to focus on. I plan to research and dive into what this will look like for me and hopefully unfold a whole new appreciation for the moment I am in, for what surrounds me. From the totally ordinary days, to accepting the rough days and embracing that growth lies somewhere in them.
I have a few goals in mind for this new year. Some for myself, some for work and some for my handmade biz. All of which I am so excited to begin.

I am entering this new year with a gratitude for 365 new
days to make a difference, check off a bucket list item, continue growing, exploring
and discovering new things. I might even travel to Germany.
As always, keep loving!
