Midweek Motivation Number 2

I think it's refreshing and inspiring to take a look around at the good things. If you're like me you might get caught up in the daily routine of hitting the alarm twice, yawning through your shower and half way to work until the coffee kicks in. Then you might get a jolt of energy that gets you through part of the day but oops, you had leftover pasta for lunch and now it's a struggle to focus so you count the minutes until you can punch out. I hope I'm not the only one with days like these. I also hope you too have exciting, fun days that you look forward to and are sad when they're over. Midweek motivation helps me have more days like this. As I share my motivators with you I hope you take a moment to reflect on your motivators and that they push you to make your days fun and exciting.

1. Sunshine & Pool Days

I thought owning a house with a pool was great but do you know what's even better? A pool that you don't have to spend hours cleaning. My sister told me the other day I spend more time at the pool at the apartment than I did at mine. I think she's right.

Don't get me wrong I loved rushing home, throwing on my suit and tanning lotion to squeeze in just 30 minutes of sun time before it dipped below the tree line and out of site. However, going to a pool that's sparkling clean already with perfectly lined up chairs and pretty umbrellas is so nice. Now, I lay in the sun with my hubby beside me (who doesn't have to spend time cleaning the pool anymore) appreciating the beauty of a clean pool.

2. Maker Community

When I open my Instagram app I am instantly submerged in the most beautiful, inspiring handmade things. I keep my hobby/small biz separate from my personal Instagram but find myself spending more time exploring, following and even meeting other makers via Maiden Hands Instagram.

It's been so much fun meeting new makers. This week I am doing a loop Campers themed giveaway with 7 other makers. I am also so excited to have met a Tennessee maker who is so talented, honest and fun. I look forward to our chats, new creations and the opportunities that await when I dive into the maker community. It is so exciting and inspiring.

3. Summer

Summer is crazy and busy and so hot! But it's also so wonderful to throw on sandals instead of boots. It's easy to drive here and there. It's more time spent outdoors. It's the beautiful blue sky day after day. All of this is inspiring. I want to create more, explore more and just revel in the beauty of it all.

4. Friends & Family

We've met some new friends at the apartment complex, including kids! Which means not only do I have another mama to chat with, I have a little bit of free time because E has someone to play with. They are already talking about sleepovers, birthday parties and more pool dates. Life is Good.

I've been lucky to be spending more time with my sisters too. It might be through chatting, text messages or dinner dates but it's always so nice to catch up with each other. I can happily say we're all a lot closer this year.

That's all for now. I'm off to crochet up a new idea while sitting poolside watching E swim underwater.

XO,
Karlee
