Now I know what 'I'm on lake time' feels like

The breeze floats over your skin and cools you in the slightest way. The air feels refreshing after spending the previous day in the hot sun. The hint of lake calms you and your worries are nowhere to be found.

I feel peaceful at this cottage on the lake. Surrounded by nature and good company a weekend away was the cure all. All this beauty just made my realize my 5 year goal: Own a cottage on a lake.

Our to do list for the weekend looked something like this:
  • Sit in the sun
  • Cruise around the lake on jet skis
  • Fish off the dock
  • Paddle in a kayak
  • Make S'mores
  • Play Corn hole & Washers
  • Crocheting (on my part, of course)
  • Play board games
  • Sleep in

Technology is minimal here at the lake. Everyone was more in tune with each other than their phones. Unplugging for the weekend reminded me how simple life can be without constant notifications and updates on what other people are doing with their time.

Time slips away as we talk with new friends, accomplish our to-do list, cool off with popsicles and enjoy icy beverages. I can't think of a better way to spend my time.

We're rosy red and happily exhausted from our weekend at the lake. We can't wait to go back.

Until next time, keep loving. XOXO
Karlee
