2017 Is Just A Memory

I always find it difficult to start a new blog entry after I haven't written in awhile. It might be fear of leaving a gap between the last time I wrote and now, missing all that happened in between or just finding a starting point. Well, it's a new year now so I suppose I can start with that. 2017 is just a memory, another full year of growth, lessons learned and a lot of change.

One of my 2017 goals was to fill my new planner and plan ahead in my work and personal life. I did that. My 2017 planner is full and now it's time to put it away and move onto the next. As I close my planner I am kind of sad. I am reminded again of how quickly the days, months and a year is now just in my memory. I am reminded that every minute counts. I am reminded to be (my one word for this year) happy, to be okay where I am, be okay with who I am and be okay with what I am doing in every moment. That includes the dishes and laundry.

As I look back on 2017, at photos of my year, I am reminded that it's such a wonderful life. I am fortunate to have a healthy and loving family. I am lucky to have our time together. I am fortunate to have loyalty, honesty, trust and excitement in my marriage. We've learned a lot about each other this year, had some downs and some ups. We worked a lot on understanding and compromise. We also had a lot of laughs and fun too. Date nights weren't as common as we hoped but we squeezed in a few and went on vacation twice! Plus, a few weekends away.

2017 was a pretty good year and 2018 is sure to be even better. I've written out my goals for my personal life and professional life. I am excited to get started on them! Goals are one of those things that fill me with a sense of accomplishment, especially on the hard days. I am reminded that not all days are hard; that some days are easy. I can look back and remind myself where we were and how far we've come.

For 2018 a few of my goals are to get E into dance class, take a few yoga classes, gain 7 new branding clients, go camping at least 3 times and the rest you'll have to wait until they happen! Yes, I am confident they will.

Here's to 2018! I hope you reach your goals, learn, grow and take at least 1 vacation.

Keep Loving.
