Confession: It's been 2 days since Ryan and I have been to the gym to work out. I don't feel aweful about it or like we have let ourselves down. Atleast not yet.
The honest truth is: we couldn't work out. Our bodies were way to soar! So, on Ryan's recommendation we have been letting our muscles heal, drinking lots of fluids and healthy foods to aid in the process but also to keep our bodies on the up and up.
Yesterday I made a quick, delicious meal of chicken salad (we prepared the night before), rice, and cooked carrots, corn, peas and green beans. I know it isn't organic or raw by any means but it is filling and nutritious.
After working out the first time I felt like my appetite doubled in size. I've also felt much more hungry too, which I think is normal when working out and burning up energy. So along with working out I am also focusing on making healthier, more sustaining meals for Ryan and I. More protein, fiber and (yes, Tiffany) fats.
I'm excited for all these new focuses. Oh and I worked out today too. It was more difficult than the first day but I pushed myself to do more tummy exercises and another 2 miles on a bike!
So, I haven't let go of working out just yet. How could I? Its too enjoyable.
Keep loving.
Oh, Karlee, good for you! I am so glad that you are focusing on eating well, too! Trust me, your body needs those fats for the fat-soluble vitamins and energy they provide!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry too much about eating raw or anything like that right now. Just focus on eating complete meals with lots of veggies (with butter on top!) and meats. If you're worried about organic foods, check out the "dirty dozen" list. It lists the top ten foods that are most heavily sprayed with pesticides. That way you can decide more easily on what is best to buy organically grown and what other conventionally grown produce you can get away with eating without too much pesticide residue. :)

LOVE and light to you! <3
