They say the best ideas come to your while you're in the shower. The problem is my ideas seldom get out of the shower with me. But this morning I told my husband the idea that popped into my head because it felt like such an exciting idea. It was one of those thoughts that finally came to fruition after circling around many ideas. So the idea stuck. And here I am moving forward with the idea I had in the shower.
So before I just come out with my idea let me share a few things to help you understand why I'm so excited for this.
I'm a coffee lover. I love the feeling of sipping coffee, the flavor, the smell of fresh ground coffee beans. Honestly, what's not love about it?
I'm a coffee shop lover too. Sitting in a coffee shop with the dull hum of people chatting, the hiss of the espresso machine gives me the feeling of vacation bliss. Relaxing but also working on a project that doesn't necessarily feel like work, writing a blog when the words comes so easily or just enjoying a hazelnut latte are a few of my favorite things about sitting at a coffee shop.
I love writing and more specifically I love blogging. I've been contemplating ways to make my blog something that more people can enjoy because let's face it, not everyone wants to read about my life. I've seen all kinds of creative twists on blogs about Michigan, budgeting, DIY blogs, self improvement blogs, insurance blogs; all so creative in their own way.
I also love spending time with my hubby, which I don't do nearly enough. Even though I know one-on-one time makes for a healthy marriage and opens the door to more communication and opportunities as a couple, time together is something that is last on our list of things to do.
I love coffee. I love coffee shops. I love blogging. I love time with my husband. I could use a little more of all of these things in my life. I think I'd be a happier, more productive and slightly more caffeinated me.
That's where A Girl, A Boy & A Coffee Shop comes in: A blog about coffee shop experiences, which will be with my husband of course. Everything from the ambiance and menu to the aromas and flavors. How I came upon at that specific shop, what made us stop in for a sip, recommendations and my favorite thing about each shop.
My big dream for this blog is that eventually it will help spread the word about a few small town coffee shops. I want to share my experiences with the world so they too can enjoy a coffee shop or two, even if it's just through words and pictures. Ultimately, I hope to just branch out from my usual mocha, meet new people and have a few more conversation with my hubby. For now I know I want to keep it fun but we'll see where it goes...
Keep loving, people!
